"It's away!"
@thecinemadonna Anyway, pretty low to block me so I can't join in the discussion.
@Squarespace It's. Alive!

@squarespace I'm on top.
@thecinemadonna Were you the Heather Ferreira that just blocked me on Quora? I wasn't trolling, and I'm not being an ass.
@globalmoxie Yeah, but it's not the same. Remember even semi-complex passwords is pretty hard.
@globalmoxie On mobile, it's easier to deal with, you can shield your phone.
@globalmoxie Well JN is arguing for it everywhere in that article.
@altjoen @globalmoxie His argument is that people just look at the keyboard while you're typing and they know your password? Good luck.
@altjoen @globalmoxie I don't mean to be antagonistic towards you guys, but that is the dumbest article JN has ever written.
@altjoen @globalmoxie I'm in an open office space, I could harvest everyone's password in a couple of days if they weren't masked.
@altjoen @globalmoxie Even 1Password flashes the password when you log into a site. If it wasn't masked, people would forget to shield.
@altjoen @globalmoxie At an ATM it works because a) it's already shielded, b) you need the card and the code for access and it's one-handed.

That's totally impractical, typing with one hand, and will leave prints all over your screen.
@altjoen @globalmoxie Now you're giving a demo to important people, password prompt pops up. What do you do?
@altjoen @globalmoxie Are we talking past each other? I don't understand why anyone would want to get rid of masking.
@globalmoxie @altjoen Unless you want to ask everyone to turn their back while you type...
@globalmoxie As I told @altjoen, I often type in passwords or codes in the company of other people. Masking is paramount to security.
@altjoen No, I don't.
@altjoen Several times a day. I use 1Password.
